Importing data from a spreadsheet and exporting

Any screen in the WBS system can import data from a spreadsheet. This is particularly useful when setting up a system or importing information after a stock take for example.

Any screen can also export data to a spreadsheet for further analysis or to modify on bulk and re import.

Basic steps to Import are:
  1. Make sure import / export button is visible at the bottom of the screen. If its not displayed then switch configuration on and enable import / export for that screen then switch configuration off again.
  2. Read the guide on importing data next to the button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Review the key columns in screen details.
  4. Click easy import and configure the screen layout to match the spreadsheet to be imported.
  5. Select spreadsheet file to import.
  6. Press Import and it will read the spreadsheet and import the data into the WBS system.
  7. Any errors in the data will be displayed and WBS allows you to correct the data to complete the import.

Basic steps to Export are:

  1. Make sure import / export button is visible at the bottom of the screen. If its not displayed then switch configuration on and enable import / export for that screen then switch configuration off again.
