Setting up the Sage 50 Link
1-Go to the physical server that contains the Sage database The Sage link must be set up on the same physical server that holds the Sage database.
2-Allocate or create new user in Sage for the WBS system to use when it reads or updates information By selecting Menu View and adding a new user and password such as wbs and wbs.
3-Log onto sage using the user assigned for WBS and record the actual Sage 50 version
4-Enable third party integration by entering adept as the user and password
5-Record the actual location of the database on this machine
6-Log out of sage and set up the WBS Link
WBS Link set up
1-Log onto your WBS system as Admin while you are on the server and select menu SET UP to add the sage details.
2-Click on "Set up " and select Sage info and enter required information IE the Sage user name and password you wish WBS to use along with the actual location of the database on this machine IE c:\....... and press enter to sage the information. Notice the Sage link configuration has already been set and should not be changed.
3-Download the sage link and install on the server you should see a message saying that the sage link has installed successfully and is running.
4-Now on the WBS Sage set up screen click log into sage. By default this is off . You will see the top ribbon come to life telling you what is happening.
If nothing appears to be happening and you gave checked the above steps click on Error log to see any problems the link is having and call support on .........
