Product routing is a list of instructions regarding the manufacture of a finished product. These instruction normally appear on a job card and can have a resource needed to carry out the process such as a polishing instruction may need the polishing resource. These operations normally have a set up or run time to indicate how much time should be allowed for this operation. The estimated cost of this operation is calculated using the estimated time * standard labour rate and resource cost and overhead cost if set.
